Ingredients:
- 500 gm maida
- ¼ cup suji
- ¼ tsp soda
- ¼ cup yogurt
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- 1 cup chickpeas (soaked overnight in warm water with two tea bags)
- 1 cup tomatoes (chopped)
- 2 onion (chopped)
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- ¼ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp chana masala powder
- ¼ tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp oil
- 4 green chillies
- Green coriander for garnishing
Steps:
Mix well all the ingredients.
Add some warm water and make a thick dough.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and keep aside for 3-4 hours.
Make small ball and roll it into big puris.
Deep fry till light golden brown.
Cook chole with salt and enough water in the pressure cooker along with the tea bags till soft.
Heat oil. Add finely chopped onion till golden brown. Then add ginger, garlic paste and fry for a minute.
Add chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, cumin, turmeric, chili powder and chana masala powder. Sauté well till the oil separates.
Add cooked chole. Cook on low medium flame for 6 to 7 mins. Add a pinch of garam masala.
Garnish with freshly chopped green coriander.
