Ingredients:
- ¼ cup fat-free mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp minced fresh basil, divided
- ¼ cup fat-free milk
- 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 1 tbsp dry bread crumbs
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ¼ tsp red chili flakes
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp crushed fresh garlic
- ¾ pound lean ground turkey
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Sliced round red onions
Steps:
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and 1 tbsp of the basil. Cover and refrigerate until time to serve.
Coat grill or BBQ with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill. In a bowl, combine the milk, onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, red chili flakes, turmeric powder, garlic and remaining basil.
Crumble turkey over mixture and mix well until it starts to form. Shape into four burger patties.
Grill, covered, over low-to-medium heat for 5-10 min. on each side or until meat is cooked and no longer pink.
Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato, sliced red onions (if desired) and basil mayonnaise.
